Our Projects

The ILLC Trust was created in 2005 after a number of years in the formulation process. As the creator was caring for his aging mother the Trust was unable to pursue many of its goals and objectives. With her passing the Trust is now moving forward on a number of projects. These projects are centered on creating sustainable solutions to a number of issues we face including; environmental degradation, food security, sustainable economic development, and health. Our program focus will be centered on localization as we believe this is where the most work can be accomplished. If you are interested in the projects and would like more information or to join in, please contact us.

  Projects

Tree Farms
The tree farm projects we are involved in are located in Panama and India. We had originally worked on a Mozambique project but due to problems have had to put it on the table for now. In both Panama and India we are working with locals and groups to assist us in the development and management of the projects. Each project we work with will be owned and managed by the Global Reforestation Group, Inc. Information on these programs is located throughout this website.

Localized Food Systems
From 2001 to 2007 as we were formulating the Trust, I worked on creating, developing and testing a number of programs centered around local food programs. Starting a small 3 acre garden/farm, I began growing hundreds of varieties of fruits and vegetables and saving seed. In 2005, we explored what we called a food guild- a comprehensive program taking a number of proven strategies such as CSA's, prepared meals, and buyers groups and combining them into one program. The program was successful and will be a priority in the coming months. This program will be part of the next project.

Organic Farm, Retreat Center and Research Center
We are currently looking for a location to build and develop our primary center. This center will house our programming and research activities. We will be going into greater detail on this as the year progresses.
